Hair transplant surgery stems from the fact that some hair is permanent, specifically the hair that remains at the sides and back above the neck. This hair can be transplanted to replace hair which has been lost. Hair which has been transplanted will grow and continue to grow for the lifetime of the client.
As price must always be a consideration we equally believe that the standard of service we provide and the experience of the surgeon should be of the upmost importance. Hair loss is a natural occurrence and can be accepted, however a poor quality hair transplant is not. Our surgeon is recognised as one of the top 3 hair replacement surgeons in the UK and Ireland and has preformed hair surgery on many celebrity clients including most recently Calum Best.
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) or Strip Harvesting
Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), or strip harvesting, is the most popular hair transplant procedure at Hair loss control clinic It is the technique I used to replace my own hair. A strip of hair is removed from the back or side of the scalp. FUT allows the surgeon to safely transplant thousands of grafts in a single session a graft can contain up to 4 hairs, which maximises the cosmetic impact of the procedure.
Prices for FUT £4.00/€5.00 Per Graft.

Follicular Unit Extraction FUE
£5.00/€6.50 Per Graft
FUE is where individual follicular units are extracted from the back or side of a patient’s scalp and transplanted into the balding area.
It is expensive in comparison to FUT - This is because the procedure is much more labour-intensive.
Each hair follicle needs to be removed individually.
The advantages are that no strip is taken from the back of the scalp so scarring is minimal. Most patients have some red spots in the harvested area for a week to ten days after the procedure - which then go away.
FUE is more appropriate for men who like to wear their hair short or shaved because of the light scarring caused by FUT.
